We are so excited to finally share this news with you all.

But….

Before I go into what is happening now, I would love to share how we got here.

Anyone who has ever met me (well mostly everyone) will know I am from South Africa, I grew up on a Game Farm, surrounded by thousands of acres of trees & animals (big & small). Here is me, at about age 4 I think, at our home.

I grew up amongst trees, with horses, wildlife & of course Dogs. It is & has always been my happy place.

I will bring us forward 30 years+ when we finally moved to the most beautiful place that captured my heart 12 years ago.

MARGARET RIVER.

Ryan & I had been dreaming of owning a house here since we got to together. We spent most birthdays & special occasions down south, adventuring. Ryan mostly surfed & I hiked through forests, swan at beaches & felt my heart break every time we drove out of here to head back to The Big Smoke.

Then finally we plucked up the courage to make the move to our most treasured place where we finally tight the knot 5 months prior in an intimate ceremony in a house amongst the trees & 5 minutes from the beach.

We quickly settled into Margaret River life style… walking to school, being a stay at home mum, Ryan continued FIFO & life continued like this for a long period. It was an interesting phase for us. I loved the social scene & having all the time in the world to connect with new people & volunteer in everything I could. You name it, I have done it.

KNOCK KNOCK

Then life took a pretty big knock. This wasn’t a great period for me or my family. Maybe in time I will share more on this time, but the details are irrelevant now. What’s important is that this big knock lead me here.

JOURNEY TO NOW

In September last year I started to study Meditation & Human Holistic Development. It cost a bit, but I was adamant that this is what I needed to do in that phase of my life to survive. Each week I would smash out my modules, study, meditate & google how with time I could make this a business.

During this time I attended my first Breathwork workshop in Perth. In this workshop I had a vivid vision of a home between the trees, drinking tea & surrounded by my family. When I come out of my session, I couldn’t shake how real it felt. I was living amongst the trees & I finally felt at peace.

I came home googling ALL OF THE THINGS. I was desperate to know how to use my studying to create a successful business. In the weeks that followed, I set up zoom calls with Self Help coaches & was in the process of joining an online Life Coach Program when the reality hit me like a ton of bricks.
I needed to make some $$$ so I could continue to found my future self development. (ha ha).

GYPSEA TAILS

I knew I couldn’t go back to the Corporate world, working long hours, that took me away from the precious hours with my kids. I wanted to do something that was on my terms, around my family. I don’t know when it really first came to me, but I do remember the first conversation about “Gypsea Tails” while I was at a friends house. I told her I needed to make some money & wanted to start a Dog Walking business for some cash in hand work.

Then I went home that night created the name, the logo, picked the fonts/ colours created an Instagram & Facebook page & Ta Dah GYPSEA TAILS was born.

It has given me the excuse to hang out with everyone’s Dogs, hang out in nature all day & get paid for it.

IN THE BACKGROUND..

During this time, Ryan continually sent me all the houses on the Market in Margaret River.
None of them connected with me. I felt frustration. Then my friend sent me a dream home on my favourite road, it cost more than we were in a position to pay. More time passed, more links were sent through, & ignored.

Then on the 16th of September my man sent me a link to this most magnificent property. It wasn’t in any of the areas I had specifically told him I wanted to live.
But it was amongst the trees & the drive to the house was amongst trees.

My vision was staring right back at me. I felt it.

So on the 17th of September, the kids & I (accompanied by 3 Dogs) drove out to Nannup area to view this property (stay open minded Taz… Its not Margaret River, its far from the beach, its its its….)

But all that worry disappeared when I drove onto the property. I fell instantly in love.

It felt like home.

35 days later we begun moving in! It has been the fasted & excruciatingly slow experience of my whole life.

I AM HOME

I feel after all these years (22 since living on our Game Farm years) I am finally home. We have only spent two very busy days out on our land, but I can wholeheartedly say I AM HOME.

NOW
We get to hang with your Dogs on acres & acres of land. They will feel the magick that my family & I feel when they are there. We will adventure on our land & surrounding areas, which are new to us all.

Additionally we will also be adventuring in Margaret River on our working days so we can continue to feel the beauty of this area.

WHY WE ARE SPECIAL

We are located only a short 45 minute drive, East of Margaret River on 28 acres, over 370m of beautiful river frontage, with a Brook on one boundary that backs onto the Blackwood River.

Our acreage is a nice mixture of native bush & pasture offering space for your Dogs to run FREE. Our home also has two dams & siding onto McAtee Brook.

We have the space to give your Dogs an experience they will never forget.
